Ride 659 km Along the Croatian Coast — From Dubrovnik to Rijeka!

Start your adventure in the iconic, historic city of Dubrovnik — a place that feels like it was made to kick off an unforgettable trip. From there, we take on a 659 km sea-and-bike journey along the entire Croatian coastline, riding from town to town with the Adriatic always by our side.

Each day brings something new: authentic seaside villages, stunning coastal views, warm crystal-clear waters, and that unbeatable feeling of fresh ocean air as you ride. After a day on the bike, we’ll unwind with relaxed evenings by the beach, local food, great company, and the laid-back coastal lifestyle Croatia is famous for.

This isn’t just another trip — it’s a true coastal experience, from sunrise rides to sunset dinners by the sea.

All of our trips are designed for maximum enjoyment on the bike. If any stage feels too challenging, our support vehicle is always available, so you can shorten the route whenever you need. Every stage can be adjusted to fit each rider’s abilities and preferences.

Day 1

Kick Off Your Croatian Adventure in Style!

On our first day, we’ll pick you up right from the airport. You can choose from Zagreb airport at 7:00 AM, Split airport at 11:00 AM, or Dubrovnik airport at 3:00 PM.

If these times don’t work for you, we can arrange a private pickup at a different time for an additional fee, so you won’t miss a moment of the adventure.

After checking in at the hotel in Dubrovnik, we’ll take you to Dubrovnik’s Old Town, where you can explore at your own pace while we get your bikes, and gear ready.

Later, we’ll come together for a dinner and group meeting, where we’ll introduce the route, go over all the details, and get everyone pumped for the adventure ahead.

Day 2

Let’s Hit the Coast!

Our first cycling day is here! It’s time to leave the magical city of Dubrovnik behind and head up the stunning Adriatic coast. Our first challenge of the day is a climb up Gromača, a scenic route that lets us avoid the busy regional road while soaking in incredible views.

After the climb, we roll down towards Ston, a charming coastal town famous for its ancient city walls and historic fortress, one of the longest fortifications in Europe. Take in the sights, snap some photos, and breathe in the sea air as we pass through this remarkable spot.

Next, we’ll cross the Croatian–Bosnian border and continue to our first day’s final stop: Neum, the only Bosnian coastal town. Here, the Adriatic greets us with its peaceful port and stunning sea views, the perfect place to unwind and celebrate the day’s ride.

A perfect start to an unforgettable journey along the Adriatic.

Day 3

Coastlines, Citrus & Mountain Views!

After a delicious breakfast, it’s time to pack up — we’ve got a serious and scenic stage ahead!

Soon after crossing the Bosnian–Croatian border, we roll through Ploče, where the mighty Neretva River slowly disappears into the Adriatic. Never tasted mandarins from the Neretva Valley? Here, you’ll see endless orchards and even have the chance to pick up some fresh fruit for yourself!

Our ride continues along the coast and soon we enter Biokovo Nature Park — the stunning mountainous backdrop of the Makarska Riviera, where towering peaks rise straight out of the sea. The views along the way are simply breathtaking, leaving you speechless.

We pass through the famous Makarska and make our way to today’s finish in Omiš, a picturesque town nestled between the Cetina River and the Adriatic Sea, famous for its pirate history and dramatic canyons.

The day wraps up with dinner on the seaside, offering amazing views of Brač Island — the perfect way to end a day filled with cycling, adventure, and coastal beauty.

Day 4

Waves and Hills!

We kick off the day with a delicious breakfast, then — hop on your bike! Today’s route is a rolling challenge, full of countless small climbs and descents that will wake up both your legs and your spirit.

The main goal of the day is to ride around the lively city of Split and head north along peaceful country roads. Along the way, we’ll enjoy olive groves, charming stone villages, and the sparkling blue sea in the distance.

Soon, we arrive in Šibenik — a historic Adriatic gem, home to the stunning St. James Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

From there, we continue a little further, crossing a picturesque bridge to Vodice, a vibrant seaside town with a lively atmosphere and beautiful coastline.

Our hotel awaits, where we’ll celebrate another successful day on the Adriatic road with a well-earned dinner by the sea.

Day 5

Coastal Roads & Hidden Canyons!

After breakfast, it’s time to leave sunny Dalmatia behind and head north.

From Šibenik, we start with about 60 km of scenic inland riding, passing through quaint villages before reconnecting with the Adriatic coastal road.

Along the way, we’ll ride past Paklenica National Park, famous for its majestic canyons, limestone cliffs, and natural caves — a true paradise for hikers and climbers alike.

Our journey continues along the rugged coastline opposite Pag Island, until we reach Jablanac, a small, picturesque fishing village at the foot of the Velebit mountains.

Jablanac is known for the stunning Zavratnica Canyon, one of Croatia’s most beautiful natural treasures — a narrow sea inlet tucked between high cliffs, with a sunken German ship from WWII resting peacefully at the bottom.

Nearby, our hotel awaits, where we’ll relax and enjoy the serene beauty of the Adriatic after a full day of riding and exploring.

Day 6

The Grand Finale!

As always, after breakfast, it’s straight back on the bike! Today marks the grand finale of our Adriatic adventure, as we take on the mighty Velebit mountains, experiencing them up close and personal.

From the coast, we’ll climb nearly 1,264 meters above sea level, where breathtaking panoramic views await. The route takes us across endless pastures, high plateaus, and mountain roads, showcasing nature in all its raw, rugged beauty.
With a bit of luck, we might even spot wild horses running free across the karst plateaus — a truly unforgettable sight.

After riding on almost traffic-free roads, we’ll descend back to the coast and make our way to Bakar, near Rijeka, where our journey reaches its ceremonial conclusion at our final hotel.

3. The Cycling Trip Experience

3.1 What’s the difference between Self-Guided, Supported, and Supported & Guided trips?

Self-Guided: We take care of logistics (hotels, airport transfers, luggage transport), while you ride independently.

Supported: Everything from Self-Guided plus a support vehicle offering drinks, snacks, emergency repairs, and refreshment stops.

It depends on the trip. Daily distances are listed in the itinerary. You can shorten a stage using the support vehicle or extend it with an optional climb or loop.
