Our Annual Best-Seller: The Italian Triple Challenge Is Waiting for You!

Join us for a 7-day cycling adventure through some of the most spectacular Alpine mountain passes in Italy. On Day 1, you’ll conquer the legendary Passo dello Stelvio, followed by the brutally tough Passo Mortirolo and the stunning Passo Gavia — famous for both their challenge and their jaw-dropping views. To finish the trip in style, we’ll climb Stelvio from the other side and cross the Umbrail Pass into Switzerland.

Each day is flexible, with options for shorter or longer routes, plus full support from our support vehicle whenever you need it. After the rides, you’ll unwind with great dinners and time to explore the beautiful town of Bormio. Ride with a like-minded group, enjoy the atmosphere, and create memories you’ll be talking about for years.

On average, we’ll ride 80 km per day with 2,176 meters of elevation gain.

Day 1

Welcome to Italy!

Your cycling adventure begins in Venice — and we’ll make sure everything is smooth, simple, and stress-free from the moment you land. We’ll pick you up at Venice Marco Polo Airport at 11:00 AM, then head straight into the mountains with a transfer to Prato allo Stelvio, where our hotel will be waiting for us.

Once we check in, we’ll get everything ready for the days ahead — bike setup, gear checks, and final adjustments — so you feel fully dialed in and prepared for the adventure.

In the evening, we’ll come together for a group dinner, the perfect chance to get to know each other, enjoy great local food, and go over the plan for the trip — so everyone feels confident, excited, and ready to ride.

Day 2 - Cycling from Prato allo Stelvio to Bormio

The Climb Every Cyclist Dreams Of!

After breakfast, we waste no time — it’s straight into the mountains and up toward our first big goal: Passo dello Stelvio.

Stelvio is a name every serious cyclist knows. This legendary climb is roughly 30 km long and delivers around 1,900 meters of elevation gain. With endless switchbacks carved into steep rock walls and high Alpine slopes, it’s the perfect mix of a true physical challenge and absolutely unforgettable views. This is one of cycling’s most iconic roads — and today, it’s our turn to ride it and create our own story.

Once we reach the summit and take in the incredible panorama, we’ll enjoy a scenic descent down the other side all the way to Bormio — a classic mountain town full of character, famous for its thermal springs, charming narrow streets, and that authentic Alpine vibe you can feel everywhere you go. This is where we’ll settle in for the next four nights, with our hotel ready for a well-earned recovery.

⭐ Today’s Must-See Highlights

  • Passo dello Stelvio (2,757 m) – One of the most iconic climbs in the Alps, famous for its endless switchbacks, high altitude, and legendary cycling history.
  • Bormio – A beautiful Alpine town known for its thermal baths, mountain culture, and perfect location at the base of some of Italy’s greatest climbs.

Day 3 - Cycling from Bormio to Bormio

The Ultimate Climbing Day: Mortirolo Pain, Gavia Glory

After breakfast at our hotel, we’ll start with a scenic descent through a beautiful valley surrounded by towering peaks. We’ll roll into the village of Grosio for a quick stop and a chance to get ready for the main challenge of the day.

Then it’s time for the legendary Passo del Mortirolo — a climb spoken about with pure respect in the cycling world. Mortirolo is known as one of the steepest road climbs in Europe, often called a true “reality check.” It’s roughly 12 km long with an average gradient around 10–11% — tough, raw, and unforgettable.

At the top, we’ll take a well-earned break together, catch our breath, and enjoy the kind of views that don’t need any words.

After the descent back into the valley, we’ll head toward our second big pass of the day: the stunning Passo di Gavia. Gavia is the definition of classic Alpine cycling — wild mountain scenery, quiet roads, and that “close to the sky” feeling as you climb higher and higher. The road is narrow, dramatic, and full of character — a true Italian Alps masterpiece.

From the summit, we’ll enjoy a long, flowing descent straight back to the hotel, where you can relax, recover, and recharge.

And if the pace or difficulty ever feels like too much, no stress — our support vehicle is with us all day, ready to help anytime you need it.

⭐ Today’s Must-See Highlights

  • Passo del Mortirolo (1,852 m) – One of Italy’s most feared climbs, famous for its brutal gradients and legendary Giro d’Italia history.
  • Passo di Gavia (2,621 m) – A breathtaking high-mountain pass known for its wild scenery, narrow roads, and epic Giro d’Italia moments.

Day 4 - Cycling from Bormio to Tirano

Borders, Views & Sweet Stops!

Today’s ride brings a slightly different rhythm — and it’s the perfect contrast to yesterday’s tougher climbs. The ascent to Passo Foscagno is steady and consistent, making it ideal for finding a comfortable pace and really soaking in the scenery. The pass tops out at around 2,291 meters, with wide-open roads and big mountain views all around.

Before long, we’ll roll into Livigno, where we’ll take a planned break right in the town center. This is the perfect time for a coffee stop — and a visit to Latteria di Livigno, a local favorite known for incredible homemade desserts. If you feel like it, you can also do some quick shopping: Livigno is a famous duty-free zone, making it a great place to grab souvenirs or cycling gear.

Next, we cross the Italy–Switzerland border and start the climb to Bernina Pass (2,330 m). This stunning high-mountain road is famous for its panoramic views of glaciers and the dramatic Piz Bernina massif — the only 4,000-meter peak in the Eastern Alps. The climb isn’t brutally steep, but the open scenery makes it feel truly epic.

After a well-earned pause at the top, we’ll dive into one of the most beautiful descents in the Alps, flowing down toward Lago di Poschiavo — lake surrounded by larch forests and steep mountain slopes.

Just past the lake, we’ll cross back into Italy and roll into Tirano, where we’ll finish the ride. From there, we’ll load the bikes into the support vehicle and enjoy a comfortable transfer back to our hotel.

Today’s Must-See Highlights

  • Passo Foscagno (2,291 m) – A steady climb with wide roads and big Alpine views.
  • Livigno – A lively mountain town and famous duty-free zone, ideal for a coffee stop and a little shopping break.
  • Bernina Pass (2,330 m) – One of the most scenic border-crossing climbs in the Alps, known for glacier views and the spectacular Piz Bernina backdrop.

Day 5 - Cycling around Bormio

Postcard Switchbacks!

After breakfast, we roll straight out of town and into a beautiful switchback climb toward Lago di Cancano. This ascent is all about the views — wide panoramas over the Bormio Valley, dramatic mountain peaks in every direction, and hairpins so photogenic they look like they belong on a postcard.

Sitting on a plateau above the valley, Lago di Cancano is famous for its striking turquoise color, its two impressive dams, and the scenic road that runs along the water’s edge. We’ll take a relaxed break here for coffee, photos, and a moment to enjoy the peaceful Alpine setting.

After the stop, we’ll descend back to Bormio the same way, then turn toward the final big challenge of the trip: Passo di Gavia, this time climbing it from the opposite side compared to earlier in the week.

This side of Gavia has a completely different feel — less dramatic cliffs and more open, rolling high-mountain landscapes. At the top, we’ll take one last group photo, one last deep mountain breath, and a quiet moment to soak in everything we’ve experienced together.

⭐ Today’s Must-See Highlights

  • Lago di Cancano – A stunning turquoise Alpine lake above Bormio, known for its scenic dam road, postcard-perfect switchbacks, and unforgettable mountain views.

Day 6 - Cycling from Bormio to Prato allo Stelvio

One Last Ride!

It’s our last day at the hotel that’s started to feel like home. We’ll pack up our gear, get the bikes ready, and head out for the final stage of the trip.

Right out of Bormio, we turn toward our last big climb: Umbrail Pass.

Umbrail Pass (2,501 m) is the highest paved road pass in Switzerland, winding its way along the southern slopes of the Stelvio massif. The climb is less dramatic than Stelvio, but it’s incredibly beautiful — with open mountain views, sweeping slopes, and towering high-alpine scenery all around.

Once we reach the top, we’ll descend toward the Swiss side, then soon cross the border back into Italy and roll down to Prato allo Stelvio — right where our journey began.

⭐ Today’s Must-See Highlights

  • Umbrail Pass (2,501 m) – Switzerland’s highest road pass, offering stunning high-alpine views and the perfect final summit to close out the trip.
