Welcome to Rogla — a high-mountain plateau where endless forests, fresh alpine air, and gently rounded peaks create the perfect playground for road cycling. Rising above the Styrian lowlands, Rogla is an outstanding base for exploring the very best of eastern Slovenia: panoramic Pohorje roads, hidden alpine valleys, rolling vineyard hills, wide-open tarmac, and challenging climbs that will excite even the most demanding cyclists.
Riding at a comfortable, social pace, the focus is on quality over speed: smooth roads, memorable climbs, long scenic descents, local culture, and time to stop — for views, cafés, historic sites, and shared meals. This is not about ticking off kilometers, but about experiencing the rhythm of the landscape and the character of eastern Slovenia, one ride at a time.
Over seven days, you’ll experience the true diversity of the Slovenian landscape. Each day takes you in a different direction — toward the Savinja Valley, where rivers carve their way between steep rock walls; toward the Drava Valley, with its scattered farms and quiet villages tucked among the hills; or toward the Celje Basin, where cycling routes reveal historic castles and charming medieval towns. Part of the journey also leads through the Karavanke UNESCO Global Geopark, where nature tells stories more than 250 million years old.
On average, we’ll ride 57 km per day with 740 meters of elevation gain, making this trip perfectly balanced for enjoyable cycling, scenic routes, and relaxed daily stages.
All of our trips are designed for maximum enjoyment on the bike. If any stage feels too challenging, our support vehicle is always available, so you can shorten the route whenever you need. Every stage can be adjusted to fit each rider’s abilities and preferences.
